The Epstein Files: Disturbing allegations, viral videos, trail of emails reaching Indian business and political circles.
October 22, 2026: Girls as young as 14. A convicted sex offender moving among presidents, billionaires and political power brokers. A secluded Caribbean island. Disturbing allegations, viral videos, and a trail of emails reaching Indian business and political circles. What is documented, what remains unproven, and why is accountability still the central question?
There are stories so disturbing that the human mind instinctively wants to look away. The Jeffrey Epstein scandal is one of them. But looking away is precisely what powerful people, compromised institutions and those who exploit the vulnerable have historically benefited from.
At the centre of this international scandal was Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier who cultivated relationships with presidents, politicians, billionaires, royalty and influential businesspeople. Behind the appearance of privilege and exclusivity was a documented pattern of sexual abuse and exploitation of underage girls. Around him grew a network of associations that continues to raise questions about who knew what, who ignored warning signs, and why the machinery of justice failed so many victims.
Now, the controversy has acquired an Indian dimension. Released correspondence has brought industrialist Anil Ambani, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and references to Prime Minister Narendra Modi under scrutiny. Donald Trump’s historical association with Epstein has also returned to the centre of international debate. The Congress is demanding answers from the Modi government.
But alongside the documented abuse and genuine questions about political access, the internet has been flooded with claims of ritual sacrifices, murders, cannibalism and secret videos from Epstein’s island. Some are unverified allegations; some viral material has been debunked. Separating the truth from the sensationalism is essential to understanding the full horror of this case.
The established facts are already disturbing enough.
Little Saint James: Paradise on the outside, allegations of horror within
The private island in the US Virgin Islands became the most notorious symbol of Epstein’s world. Epstein’s private Caribbean property, Little Saint James, was a secluded estate accessible by private transport. It became synonymous with allegations of sexual exploitation hidden behind wealth, privacy and privilege.
In 2019, US federal prosecutors charged Epstein with sex trafficking of minors, alleging that he recruited and abused dozens of underage girls, some as young as 14, in New York and Florida. According to prosecutors, victims were recruited for purported massage appointments that escalated into sexual abuse, and some were paid to recruit additional girls.
The US Virgin Islands later brought civil proceedings alleging that Epstein’s operation involved the transportation and exploitation of young women and girls, including at his island properties. The proceedings described how the isolation of the island and the use of private aircraft, boats and helicopters could facilitate the operation and conceal what was happening.
These were not merely stories circulating on social media. They were allegations set out in official legal proceedings, supported by a substantial body of evidence concerning Epstein’s sexual abuse. His former associate Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in federal court in 2021 for her role in facilitating the sexual abuse of minors.
The allegations that go beyond sexual abuse: Murder, sacrifice and cannibalism
Few aspects of the Epstein controversy have generated more disturbing speculation than claims that people were murdered, babies sacrificed, or secret satanic rituals performed on the island.
The “Cream Cheese Baby” email
An email exchange attributed to Epstein contains the phrases “there are millions of babies” and “very little good vegetable cream cheese.” The exchange has prompted allegations that babies were being discussed as food.

2. An FBI-related email describing alleged atrocities
A 2019 account recorded in an email chain in the released files, identified as document EFTA00147661, relays an anonymous man’s claims that he witnessed babies being dismembered on Epstein’s yacht and that people consumed material from their intestines.
The same records indicate that the man supplied no supporting or corroborating evidence for these allegations. The existence of the report proves that the allegations were recorded.
3. Claims of cannibalism and ritual sacrifice
The released documents contain references to cannibalism and ritualistic sacrifice. Claims contained in purported interview summaries and other material circulating in connection with the Epstein files have been cited as evidence of ritualistic violence. Such claims must be assessed individually.
Viral posts have attributed footage from unrelated horror productions and material to Epstein’s properties.
The wider review of Justice Department records reported by the Associated Press found substantial evidence of Epstein’s sexual abuse of underage girls but said investigators could not substantiate claims that he operated a broader trafficking operation serving powerful men. The review also reported that investigators found no verified “client list” of the kind widely imagined online.
One must remember that the world of Epstein’s crimes existed before smartphones and instant digital sharing became commonplace. The ability to secretly record, photograph and immediately leak evidence to the press was far more limited than it is today. Investigators therefore had to rely heavily on emails, flight logs, financial records, witness testimonies and other documentary evidence to reconstruct what happened behind closed doors. Those emails, in particular, could tell a chilling story of access, influence, arrangements and relationships that might otherwise have remained hidden.
Donald Trump and Epstein: What the documented association tells us
Donald Trump’s past association with Epstein has become one of the most politically consequential aspects of the controversy. The two men moved in overlapping social circles in the 1990s. Trump publicly spoke positively about Epstein in a 2002 New York magazine interview, and flight records have documented journeys Trump took on Epstein’s private aircraft during that period.
The significance of these facts lies in the questions they raise about the relationship, its duration and what the participants knew about Epstein’s conduct.
Trump has denied wrongdoing and has said he was unaware of Epstein’s crimes. Reuters reported in March 2026 that the US Justice Department released additional records summarising interviews with a woman who made allegations involving Epstein and Trump when she was a minor. Reuters said it could not independently verify those claims; the White House rejected them as baseless.
The Indian connection: Anil Ambani, Narendra Modi, Hardeep Singh Puri and the business of political access
The Indian dimension is not simply that Indian names appear in a collection of documents. It concerns the reported use of Epstein as an intermediary for introductions and access to influential people. closer friendship than previously acknowledged
Wellness author and spiritual guru Deepak Chopra features prominently in the Jeffrey Epstein files released by the U.S. Department of Justice, with the correspondence suggesting a closer personal association than previously acknowledged.. According to Al Jazeera’s reporting on the released correspondence, industrialist Anil Ambani exchanged messages with Epstein in 2017 and sought help connecting with people in Donald Trump’s political circle, including Jared Kushner and Steve Bannon. The correspondence also reportedly touched on Prime Minister Modi’s proposed visits to the United States and Israel.
The messages are significant because they appear to show Epstein being approached as a political and business networker, even after his 2008 conviction for sex offences.
Other reported correspondence concerned Ambani’s financial difficulties in 2019 and a possible personal loan of $750 million. Epstein reportedly described Ambani as “Modi’s man” in correspondence, but that phrase represents Epstein’s own characterisation and does not independently establish that Ambani acted on behalf of the Prime Minister or the government.
The available correspondence, as reported, does not establish that Ambani visited Epstein’s island or participated in sexual crimes.
The legitimate questions are different: What introductions were sought? Which contacts actually took place? Was the outreach entirely private and commercial, or did any part involve official political or diplomatic business? And what do the complete records show?
These are matters that can be examined through original emails, meeting records and corroborating communications. They should not be answered by either automatic condemnation or automatic exoneration.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has acknowledged meeting Epstein on several occasions, describing the encounters as professional interactions related to international networking and investment opportunities.
The released material, as reported by Al Jazeera, includes correspondence concerning LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and efforts to encourage investment and business engagement with India under the newly elected Modi government. The reporting also identifies meetings between Puri and Epstein in New York.
Puri has maintained that the interactions were professional and has rejected the implications being drawn from them.
What was discussed? Who arranged the meetings? What follow-up occurred? Were the contacts connected with an official initiative, private networking or a proposed investment? Are there records that can clarify the context?
Congress leaders have demanded accountability and questioned whether Puri should remain in office. Those demands are political positions, not findings of criminal guilt.
A transparent account of the meetings would allow the public to assess the explanation against the documentary record. That is preferable to allowing the controversy to be decided by insinuation or partisan loyalty.
The most politically sensitive Indian question concerns references to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Epstein’s correspondence. A message attributed to Epstein reportedly claimed that Modi had followed his advice in connection with the Prime Minister’s July 2017 visit to Israel. India’s Ministry of External Affairs rejected the implication, describing the rest of Epstein’s allusions as “trashy ruminations by a convicted criminal” and confirming only the factual point that Modi had made the official visit.
The correspondence raises questions that can be answered through documentary verification. Was there direct communication between Epstein and any Indian government official? Was any proposed introduction completed? Is there independent evidence supporting Epstein’s claim, or was he exaggerating his access to power?
The Congress and other opposition voices have used the disclosures to demand clarification from the Modi government regarding the Indian names and the reported political outreach.
Their strongest argument is not that a name in an email proves criminal involvement. It is that the public deserves to know whether people seeking access to political leadership used Epstein as an intermediary, whether any official contacts resulted, and whether the explanations offered by those concerned are consistent with the documentary evidence.
The Epstein scandal leaves behind two overlapping stories.
The first is the documented exploitation of underage girls and the institutional failures that allowed Epstein to continue operating despite earlier criminal proceedings and mounting allegations.
The second is the network of political, business and social relationships that gave him access to influential people around the world. Some relationships were professional, some social, and some remain poorly understood. The presence of a person’s name in the records does not settle the question of their conduct.
India’s responsibility is to investigate the evidence, answer legitimate questions and avoid turning victims’ suffering into a vehicle for unsupported political claims. The opposition’s responsibility is to demand accountability without overstating what the documents prove. The media’s responsibility is to follow the records wherever they lead.
The victims must remain at the centre of this story. Their abuse should not be reduced to a sideshow in a political contest over famous names.
The Epstein investigation remains ongoing, and crucial questions remain unanswered. Who else was involved, and what did they know? Who enabled Epstein’s activities, who helped conceal them, and why were so many powerful connections allowed to escape meaningful scrutiny for so long? Will the remaining records reveal the full extent of his network, or will vital information remain hidden? The public deserves transparency, accountability and justice for the victims. Until the evidence is fully examined and the unanswered questions addressed, the Epstein story is far from over.
