The initiative has already begun distributing ready-to-eat food packets to flood-affected families, ensuring immediate assistance reaches those stranded by rising waters.
The emergency food kits contain essential items such as biscuits, jaggery, murmura, and bread, providing quick nourishment to people who have lost access to kitchens and cooking facilities. The relief effort, however, extends well beyond food.
The organisation is also supplying medicines, clean drinking water, sanitary pads, and mosquito repellents, addressing the growing health risks that accompany prolonged flooding. Medical experts have repeatedly warned that stagnant floodwaters increase the danger of water-borne diseases, infections, and mosquito-borne illnesses, making preventive supplies just as critical as food.
The relief operation is expected to expand further in the coming days. Plans are already underway to distribute comprehensive ration kits containing household essentials to affected families as they begin the difficult journey of rebuilding their lives.
